Lambda Dade Clubhouse

Monthly Board Meeting

 September 21, 2005

 

Board members present: Craig V, Suzanne Q, Bob P, Derek, Donna, Tommy, Craig, Blake, Marco

Board members not present: Joe McQ,

Lambda members present: Hernan, Max, Juan Carlos, Stephan N, Barry B,

 

Craig V. opened meeting at 7pm with the Serenity prayer

 

Secretary’s Report: None

Treasurer’s Report:  Tommy presented treasurer’s report for August

 (See attached August report)Todd motioned to accept report, Marco seconded. 

 

Membership Report: Marco renewed membership roster. Suzanne will assist Marco in updating/removing old names; Bob P will assist in calling members. Donna motioned to post upcoming membership renewals the month prior – Barry seconded, passed unanimously. Report accepted unanimously by board.

 

Literature Report:  None

 

Housekeeping Report: 

  • Victor helping Todd with maintenance – need to consider future maintenance service as Todd prepares to leave.

  • Last Saturday of the month board members will clean clubhouse.

  • Painting/cleanup day will be lead by Hernan and Todd. –no date yet.

  • Windows still need to be cleaned and flag hung – Bob P.

  • Birthday board needs to be re-done – Joe McQ will spend less than $50 to replace.

 

Fundraising Report: Juan Carlos wants to do Halloween party – will confirm no conflict with other activities. First meeting will be at his home this week; possible estate sale to raise funds as well. Report accepted by board.

 

Old Business

  • Repayment by Ken M:  Repayment resumes in August – Joe McQ will follow up in 2 weeks after surgery.

  • Not-for-profit/taxes: Tommy presented an accountant (Esther Bejar) proposal for $1500 or less to fix tax issue for clubhouse. Bob P motioned to accept, Todd seconded.

New Business

  • Stephan N. asked to start a new NA meeting on Saturday’s at 5:45pm and agreed to commit to 3 months to chair it. NA will set-up with literature. Begins October 1st. Blake motioned to accept; it was seconded and accepted unanimously.

 

Craig closed meeting at 8pm with the Serenity Prayer
